Spicy Fish Fry ( Meen Varathathu Erivullathu) 


Ingredients


Fish - 1/2 kg 
Chilly powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/8 tsp
Button onions(Kunjulli) - 18 nos
Garlic pods - 6 nos
Ginger - A small piece
Salt - As reqd
Oil for frying



Method Of Preperation

Clean the fish and gash closely.
Grind together chilli, garlic, ginger, onion, pepper and mustard along with salt.
Rub the ground masala onto the fish and marinate for a while.
Pour small quantities of oil at a time in a heavy skillet.
Fry the fish on both sides over a low fire.
