കേരളത്തിന്റെ ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രം

                                     Kerala as the state located to the South of India with Thiruvananthapuram as its capital and the largest city in the state. Only few of us have an inclination about the other cities of the state that are categorized under districts. The state of Kerala has fourteen districts which fall under its six historical regions which are North Malabar (Far-north Kerala), Malabar (northern Kerala), Kochi (central Kerala), Northern Travancore, Central Travancore (southern Kerala) and Southern Travancore (Far-south Kerala).
Kerala's 14 revenue districts are subdivided into 62 taluks, 1453 revenue villages and 1007 Gram panchayats. Allaphuza District is further divided into 6 taluks, Ernakulam into 7 taluks, Idukki into four taluks and Kollam into 5 taluks. There are three taluks in Kannur district, 2 in Kasaragod district, 5 in Kottayam district, 3 in Kozhikode district and 6 in Malappuram district. Palakkad, Pathanamthitta and Thrissur have 5 taluks each. Thiruvananthapuram has 4 taluks and Wayanad has 3 taluks
